Vintage textiles, perfumed.

I enjoy buying these perfumed drawer sachets as a treat. Now I know that they are expensive but I store them with my crafts creations, for example my knitting bag. When a project is complete it usually smells divine. Don’t tell anyone but this is an accidental sneak preview of someone’s surprise Christmas present. I will show you the whole picture when the gift is given!

Today a parcel from ebay arrived. Six lush pieces of vintage textiles. I really do have loads of vintage embroidery and lace but I can’t bear to part with most of it! I will need to part with some as I am planning to lead a craft class of up cycled textiles early in 2015. With this in mind I have purchased more vintage table cloths and lace and doilies for not a lot of money. Maybe they are too nice to part with!

I will tell you more about the craft/up cycling classes when I know what I’m doing! I am thinking along the lines of up cycled bunting and maybe recycled cushion. The venue is nearly sorted so then it will be all go to organise the event.
