Hello from Ibiza. My crafty cruise has paused in Ibiza to explore and enjoy. I hitched a lift on the shuttle bus into Ibiza Town and wandered around the old walled town. A lovely place with many shops but a serious lack of crafty emporiums. There was an excess of white lacy garments that fit all!
I walked up to the old town and wandered along the walls. The views were lovely even through the fine rain.
This is a very sad view of a beach by Ibiza town. It appears that garbage, even a kitchen sink have been thrown over the cliff! Come on Ibiza clean your beach
Beautiful stone walls

Don’t forget that this is a working holiday so I will tell you about the craft classes on another day .
BIG news! Hooray! Holidays!
Yippee! Great excitement! Travel!
New Job! Happy Days! Cruise!
There hasn’t been a lot of time to blog lately because I’ve been so busy! The BIG news is that I am going on a cruise to teach crafts!! Whoo Hooo! My first cruise is in five weeks and I’ve been planning, organising and trialling the various project that I’m going to demonstrate. I will tell you over the next few weeks what these projects are as I now have a programme of events. I have a contract with the cruise company and I have vast excitement! My long term plan is to work my passage all over the World but let’s see how the first cruise goes!
I have finished re lining a small case that I found last summer in a charity shop. It only cost £3 and is very vintage, in great condition and looks lovely with its new flowery lining. In the 60’s we used to call these cases “beauty cases” as they were used to carry all our beauty products ( and I had a lot!) This upcycled case will be used as a carry on case for all my travels of which there may be lots! I HOPE!
We are off in Damnvan1 again tomorrow! A road trip taking in The Lakes, Cumbria and The Yorkshire Dales. I’ve packed all the essentials, especially the knitting, novels that I’ve been saving to read and clean pants!
We should have gone today but woke this morning and didn’t feel like going so we didn’t! This is a psychological breakthrough as not conforming to the 9 till 5 treadmill and doing what we want is a hard lesson to learn after a lifetime of working restrictions. Yippee! Freedom!
We are now more sorted, I’ve hoovered the lounge and packed the stuff we need, so away we go. I am looking forward to trawling the charity shops, exploring the craft venues, walking the hills and sampling the food emporiums. I am especially seeking beautiful and cheap china cups, gorgeous textiles for those projects that never quite happen and local wool from local sheep! I will report back as I get Internet access which can be sparodic, so see you soon! 💃
