Phew! A sail away from Lanzarote with a difference. Accompanied by Mr Motivator Aka Derrick Evans I 90’s music and rum punch (rumish!) We glided out of the harbour whilst exercising and trying to use up some calories. Fun, energy and laughter and then it rained. The cool down was rapid!
I must point out that I’d been swimming prior to this class! I’ve twelve days to go before I have bi lateral hip replacements so I will be as fit as possible. Shame about the food………!
This is a looong cruise ending in CapeTown. All is good and the crafts are going down very well. I had to buy further crafting supplies in Madeira to keep us going. It’s a fine line between running out of stuff and having to carry too much home. We will be flying back so are weight limited. (But no one has told my waistline!) Due to waistline issues I’m trying to gym or swim each day.
The crafts so far have involved a cruise log book, felting soap, air dried clay, pin cushion and beading. We are so intensely busy for a shot time that I usually forget to take pictures.
Today the weather has been awesome. One of those British hot steamy days when you are glad to paddle (or swim) in the sea. Each time we come to our “place by the sea” we explore a little more of the Welsh coastal path. Today we dabbled and paddled around Borth-y-gest a pretty village. We discovered tea rooms( nothing new there) an easy stretch of coastal path and hidden coves and beaches. Idillic!
Maybe a little more of the coastal path tomorrow. The Llyn Peninsula Coastal Path is 110 miles (180kilometers) long so at this rate it may take us some time. But watch this space.
walked hobbled around the Zillar Valley in Austria. I would take a pic of my toes but they are far too grusome for publication! My other excuse is that thirty plus degrees is far to hot for hiking anyway!
We travelled up on the single chair lift at Hippach Ramsau. This is the best lift ever! You just glide up the mountain accompanied only by bird song and a gentle breeze. Sadly it is closing after this year due to high maintenance costs. I Signed the save Ramsau lift petition and will do the same on Facebook.
We stopped at the obligatory cafe at the top of the lift for some refreshment OK beer! I waved Hubs off as he walked into the mountains not to be seen again for several hours. I made my way slowly back to the hotel, avoiding all shopping opportunities. Well it was Sunday, and all or most shops were closed, so I saved a fortune. I enjoyed a swim in the pool ( that didnt hurt feet) and sunbathed in the garden. Bliss!
