A Scatter Gun Approach

Standard

I have decided that I definitely take a scattergun approach to life!

Today I went with Darling Daughter to the Stitching Sewing and Hobbycrafts Show at Event City in Manchester. The show itself was just about OK BUT I bought ( at vast expense I might add) lots of wood carved stamps for fabric printing. Another hobby, project to learn, as if I’ve not got enough to do!

I must concentrate on one thing at a time! I really do know myself. When I studied Psychology I frequently had my personality analysed. I always turned out top score for starting projects and nil points at finishing projects. So true!

Meanwhile I am excited at starting another project.

I’ve bought the paint, pads and stamps so now I just need to source some nice silk to print. Oh and focus! One project at a time. I confess that I’ve just bought three books on various crafts. This is becoming a Splatter Gun approach.

The Colour Orange

The Colour Orange
imageThe colour orange is the colour of adventure and social communication

The colour orange radiates warmth and happiness, combining the physical energy and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow.

Orange relates to ‘gut reaction’ or our gut instincts, as opposed to the physical reaction of red or the mental reaction of yellow.

Orange offers emotional strength in difficult times. It helps us to bounce back from disappointments and despair, assisting in recovery from grief.

I was in Costa Coffee with Darling Daughter when I noticed the beautiful windows dressed with orange blinds. It was a photograph waiting to be taken! ( above) colour therapy assures us that orange is a truly feel good Colour. It works for me

The colour psychology of orange is optimistic and uplifting, rejuvenating our spirit. In fact orange is so optimistic and uplifting that we should all find ways to use it in our everyday life, even if it is just an orange colored pen that we use.

Orange brings spontaneity and a positive outlook on life and is a great colour to use during tough economic times, keeping us motivated and helping us to look on the bright side of life.

With its enthusiasm for life, the colour orange relates to adventure and risk-taking, inspiring physical confidence, competition and independence. Those inspired by orange are always on the go!

I will definitely be wearing more orange colour in the future!
