To all of you dear readers thank you for taking the time to read my blog during 2018. May you all have love and health during 2019. See you next year!
There’s something about January. A new year, new beginnings and new starts. Maybe it’s the dull, dark, damp days that encourage us to sort out, tidy up and clear the decks. So sort the stash I must. Actually I had to sort out because I couldn’t close the lid on my Textile box!
I emptied the pine box and sorted through the cottons, velvets, linens and lace. I folded, stacked and checked what was hiding in the storage chest. Then I lined the bottom of the chest and Whoo Hoo the lid closed!
I am going to try really hard not to acquire more fabric unless it is a considered sensible purchase. Ha ha! Watch this space!
Next, I’ve got rather a lot of yarn….
I don’t do New Years Resolutions! I rarely keep them and can’t see the point. However….
THIS year I’m not going to start another craft project until I’ve finished at least one Work in Progress.
In 2017 I will NOT add to my stash.
Its a good time to start (another) diet.
By the end of January I will sort out my wardrobe.
This is the year that I will blog more, blog smarter and blog in a timely fashion
will be am happy, eager to learn and indulge in positivity.
I will practice acts of random kindness whenever possible.
And finally ……I will NOT make any New Years Resolutions.
Out with the old and in with the new!
May you all have a healthy, happy and peaceful 2017
I do find this time between the old year and the new slightly odd! Everything feels as though it’s on hold. Paused awaiting 2017! I’m still busy working on cruise projects as it’s only three weeks tomorrow before we sail. Whoo Hoo!
In between this time and that, I have a weekend away to celebrate middle child’s 40 th birthday. How on Earth have I got children this old? Glad and grateful that I have!
Well I’ve got to get back into my “little” black dress for the next cruise so I’ll just eat up the Christmas cake left overs and After Eight Mints then I’ll start the diet. Oh mustn’t leave the chocolate truffles or the luxury croissants!
Off to cut up fabric! See you soon💃
Good morning dear readers, and a Happy New Year to you all.
The year hiccuped to an early start today when I awoke and remembered that no one had told Benji dog that it was a New Year! He didn’t realise that I’d been celebrating in the “local” so hey ho! Off we went on our first dawn walk of the New Year.
He looks so serious doesn’t he? He doesn’t like posing for photos but he does so because he knows he will get a treat! Benji dog is the best behaved dog and is so easily bribed. He also loves walking, treats, running, bribery, and food. I must remember next New Years Eve to tell ( or bribe) him to have a lie in on New Years Day!
Welcome, blogging friends to 2014, may you all have happiness and health. This house welcomed the new year by making broccoli and Stilton soup. This was chosen to use up yellowing broccoli and opened Stilton and is yummy! It is simple and quick to make
Our lovely Labadour puppyish dog was intent on destroying his latest soft toy. This is the last cuddly toy that he will have as he can’t rest until all stuffing is all over they house! But he’s gorgeous. I was out walking him at 8 am on New Year’s Day which isn’t bad going. I didn’t meet a soul and it was a fab start to, hopefully, a fab year.
The crafting side of me has itchy fingers, lots of plans, too many ideas and not enough time. I will post as I can and as a create
Stop and think
Wait and be thankful.
Look forward to the next year.
And very old fashioned, but count your blessings.
See you in 2014 for a fantastic blogging year!
