Well it is a little late, just a little, but one of my lovely Christmas gifts was a gift box from Lush. I have a great selection of Lush boxes and or tins, collected over the past few years. I love these boxes but I REALLY love the contents
This year’s,lip salve, lip tint, Lushious box had the Twelve Days of Christmas theme and inside was divided into Twelve compartments. In theory, and if I’d had the time, it is designed to be a treat for each of the festive twelve days. In truth, life has just achieved a level of normality, and I can finally enjoy this treat to its full.
I have used nearly all of the shower gel called Lord of Missrule. It’s doesn’t fail as a gorgeous, soapy treat, lovely,Lush shower gel. The Hair conditioner has yet to be tested but smells delightful. There are lip tints and lip salves both well used. The box, which fastened with a luxurious ribbon also contained some divine soap, hand treatment and body lotion.
This gift didn’t fail to be an extreme Lush indulgence. All of the contents are fabulous and can’t fail to please. No wonder I’m a lovely Lush Granny!!
I find it hard to believe that there are 73 children living in Chester and North Wales who will not be receiving Christmas presents this year. This is due to extenuating circumstances which has rendered them homeless or in shared housing. These are local children living in our communities.
Well now they will receive their gifts. This is due to a local new charity called Share, a local company called Dandys Topsoil and Turf and the generosity of local people.
Yesterday I took a car boot full of gifts and felt like Mother Christmas in a way I’ve not experienced before. I was only the courier ( OK I did give some gifts) but many were donated by Daughter’s colleagues at Lush Chester.
Just a small effort to make Christmas a little special for some children less fortunate than us.
Hi it’s Lush Granny again!
Today I must tell you about a great Lush product that I have used a lot. (As you can see from the picture) The product is Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter.
Perfect for softening our hardest bits: knees, elbows, heels, brittle nails and cuticles finally get the attention they deserve. Lemony Flutter revives a traditional method of cream-making that even the Romans would recognise. A little goes a long way, and within just a few applications, those neglected areas will be rejuvenated and smelling delicious, just like lemon curd.
The above blurb is from the Lush Cometics web site but describes it perfectly. I like the bit about “The Romans” It is quite a thick cream but soon soaks in to the cuticles etc. I bought mine from Lush Chester and use it all the time.
Give it a go for gorgeousness!
In my capacity as a Lush Granny it is with great sadness that I have to report that my Charity pot of Gorgeous Facial Moisuriser is empty. I have scraped round and round the tin but there is no more! These charity pots from Lush are a great way to sample products or to take away with you. This Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser is a great product. It smells delicious, moisturises wonderfully and “does what it says on the tin!” Makes you Gorgeous!
On a quest for stronger, shinier, softer hair? Try this argan oil-packed, Rose Jam-scented bar. Argan oil is combined with glycerine to give your hair touchable softness and lustrous shine. From this solid foundation restorative rose absolute and oil balances the scalp making this bar particularly perfect for setting fair hair ablaze with brightness and strength.
The above quote is from the Lush website. Take a look at their new Oxford St store its fabulous.
I have had a few of these shampoo bars for when I am travelling. They act as a hair and body shampoo and last for ages. They can be a little difficult to get out of the tin but a piece of ribbon slipped under the bar makes it possible to flip it out. Failing that store them in the lid rather than the bottom of the tin! This works!
As I mentioned previously I attended a Bloggers event at Lush, Chester at the week-end. I met other bloggers, which was great and proved that all those bloggers out there are not just cyber fiction! Lush, Chester pulled out all stops and made the evening great fun. Kii (posing above) did a great job at demos, commentary and laughter. She is a real Little Miss Dynamite!
One thing that I did notice is that I was (am) DECADES older than all the other bloggers! Not that you can tell from the photo. I had expected this so was not at all put out to be Granny Lush or should I say Lush Granny?
I adore the Lush idea of wrapping a gift in a scarf “Knot-Wrap By Lush” We were given a Knot-Wrap as a gift. I was particularly thrilled with mine as it was very vintage. I now have a fab stash of Lush treats which I will demo at some point. I will wait for a dull, dark, dismal day so that I am cheered up by the wonderful Lush aromas and visual treats for body and sole!
So, for now, it is good bye from the Lush Granny.
Call back tomorrow for a new regular feature called “Wordsmith Wednesday”
