Gratitude is a bit of a buzz word at the moment but don’t knock it! This dawn I am grateful to be away with good friends.I am grateful that we have been friends for more than twenty years. I am more than happy that the group contains natural organisers so I let them! There are natural wash uppers, so I let them!
I am grateful to share gifts, laughs and maybe tears with these “girls” I am grateful to grow old together.
I am grateful to wake in this lovely place and enjoy the quiet.
So grateful is perhaps an overused word but don’t knock it! Just be grateful and enjoy it!
Dawn in the woods.
Ok don’t type “yes” I know that you agree.
Out with the old and in with the new!
May you all have a healthy, happy and peaceful 2017
Well I reckon that most hair styles are a result of hair dressing products. I am no exception. I wash, condition, mousse, spray and gel most days! This routine is often done whilst on automatic pilot. Take yesterday as an example. I completed a reasonable effort to make my hair look good, reached for the hair spray as usual and STOP! I’d absently picked up spray glue! Not much different than hair spray you might think. Wrong! You try washing it out!
I have used spray starch by mistake in the past. There seems to be a pattern forming here and my hair isn’t that fantastic. I really must separate the household products from the beautification products!
I didn’t tell you how amazing my birthday cake was did I? Darling daughter made a Piñata cake which was fantastic
It appeared as an ordinary, if rather tall, white cake embellished with Happy Birthday candles. When I ceremonially cut into it a beautiful rainbow filled with multi coloured sweets appeared, with the sweets cascading out! It was absolutely lovely. Thank you family for a different treat.
The base was surrounded by multi coloured buttons, probably the contents of Darling Daughters button box, which Step Granddaughter begged to take home. A budding crafter here!
Today I took myself, the dog and my Fitbit for a walk along the country lanes where I live. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and the flowers blooming.
I would like to take better photographs but hey you can’t be good at everything!
the snowdrops are blooming in drifts whilst the daffodils are just bursting through their buds. I nodded to the Wizard of the woods who I pass almost daily and admired the beautiful countryside.
Moel Famau is the highest hill within the Clwydian Range, formerly Flintshire Range, on the boundary between Denbighshire and Flintshire in Wales. The hill, which also gives its name to the Moel Famau country park, has been classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty since 1985. It is also surrounded by several well-preserved Iron-Age hill forts.
A northern part of the Offa’s Dyke footpath, one of the UK’s most popular National Trails, crosses the summit of Moel Famau and the Jubilee Tower.
I have no idea how the elephant came to be in the garden but he is a long time resident and brings a smile to faces.
Anyhow I do know the secret of happiness! The secret of happiness is knowing when you are happy and celebrating that fact at that time. There’s not much point in saying that you was happy last week or last year. You need to know that you are happy now. And I am!💃
The Colour Orange
The colour orange is the colour of adventure and social communication
The colour orange radiates warmth and happiness, combining the physical energy and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow.
Orange relates to ‘gut reaction’ or our gut instincts, as opposed to the physical reaction of red or the mental reaction of yellow.
Orange offers emotional strength in difficult times. It helps us to bounce back from disappointments and despair, assisting in recovery from grief.
I was in Costa Coffee with Darling Daughter when I noticed the beautiful windows dressed with orange blinds. It was a photograph waiting to be taken! ( above) colour therapy assures us that orange is a truly feel good Colour. It works for me
The colour psychology of orange is optimistic and uplifting, rejuvenating our spirit. In fact orange is so optimistic and uplifting that we should all find ways to use it in our everyday life, even if it is just an orange colored pen that we use.
Orange brings spontaneity and a positive outlook on life and is a great colour to use during tough economic times, keeping us motivated and helping us to look on the bright side of life.
With its enthusiasm for life, the colour orange relates to adventure and risk-taking, inspiring physical confidence, competition and independence. Those inspired by orange are always on the go!
I will definitely be wearing more orange colour in the future!
On this Christmas Eve I would like to wish everyone peace and happiness. Thank you all for following, passing through and reading my blog🌲
Because everyone is fraught and frantic this pre Christmas week I decided to take time to copy this Poem, relax and count my plentiful blessings.
The poem is by Santa Montefiore and features in the novel “The French Gardener” and I just like it.
Can you hear a bird sing at the top of a Chestnut tree?
I am the song she’s singing so sweet a melody.
Can you hear the stream flow forever running free?
My love is in the ripples and bubbles eternally.
Can you feel the sun shine warm upon your skin?
I am the very sun itself, the love you feel within.
A very happy and peaceful Christmas time to you all.
