Where else in the World would you get a coffee, partway up a mountain, with such amazing views? Today is day two of our trip to Mayrhofen, Austria. We have been many times (aren’t we lucky?) and are always jaw droppingly impressed with the beautiful views.
The purpose of our trip is to walk a lot, get fit and drink whisky. Mmmmm not sure…..
This is is a picture of Hubs looking for our lost path. Now this is not unusual we frequently lose our way.
Today was sooooo hot that we did a small walk up hill of course, got lost of course and stumbled across the cafe pictured above. It would have been very rude not to have Apple Strudel with cream and tea. Did anyone mention getting fit?
On our crawl up through the town in extreme heat I did notice a couple of craft shops. These will require investigation within the next few days so I will report back.
We returned to our hotel to have a swim ( Hubs to lift weights) so I decided to lie on the bed and relax. After all I am on holiday not a fitness break and it is hot and the strudel finished me off!
Hi it’s Lush Granny again!
Today I must tell you about a great Lush product that I have used a lot. (As you can see from the picture) The product is Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter.
Perfect for softening our hardest bits: knees, elbows, heels, brittle nails and cuticles finally get the attention they deserve. Lemony Flutter revives a traditional method of cream-making that even the Romans would recognise. A little goes a long way, and within just a few applications, those neglected areas will be rejuvenated and smelling delicious, just like lemon curd.
The above blurb is from the Lush Cometics web site but describes it perfectly. I like the bit about “The Romans” It is quite a thick cream but soon soaks in to the cuticles etc. I bought mine from Lush Chester and use it all the time.
Give it a go for gorgeousness!
Firstly let me apologise for not blogging recently I have been extremely busy (as usual) and couldn’t find my blog ability. Well I’m here and away we go!
I have discovered the very best way to hull strawberries. By the way, there are no strawberries as good as freshly picked English strawberries. Sorry all those cosmopolitan readers but it’s true. All you need is a Drinking straw. I used one of those wider ones that you get with a frappe – iced drink- from Costa Coffee etc.We did buy the drinks so had no guilt about recycling the straws at home! Smaller straws will work just as well.Hold the strawberries as in the picture. Position the straw at the pointy end and gently push. Voila! The hull is pushed out complete with the green top. They look like mini palm trees! Wash, add cream and yum!
This top tip has come complements of my sister. Thanks sis!
