Today we hitched the bus to Hintertux.
You can count on great snow conditions in Tux-Finkenberg, and that’s as safe as mountains! Perfectly prepared slopes at 3,250 m above sea level, on the Hintertux Glacier, 365 days a year! Slope maintenance machines are at work night for night to ensure ideal conditions – the fresh slopes allow ski enthusiast’s hearts to beat a little faster! But we didn’t go to ski we went to walk!
The weather was incredibly hot for walking today. We walked down from Hintertux Glacier but shared the lift up with ski enthusiasts and snow boarding lovers. I spent most of the time seeking shade, drinking water and avoiding cows.
This is The view where we ate lunch.
All of the walks in the Tyrol are clearly way marked but this doesn’t prevent heated discussions about which way to go!
I am currently allowing my feet to recover ready for tomorrow’s exciting ramble sorry walk!
