Saturday in Padstow was hot and busy but very enjoyable. This beautiful harbour, made famous by chef Rick Stien, is surrounded by a backdrop of Quaint cottages and lush restaurants. I indulged in people watching(there was even a wedding photo shoot to watch)and retail therapy. The shops are typically beach and yacht emporiums, many out of my price bracket, but I did find a cute top to purchase. I really must get my sewing machine out when I get home as I could run up half of the garments for a fraction of the price. Nice day with nice ice cream and nice bus ride to get there.
Sunday we decided to walk the coastal path along the cliffs of Watergate beach onto Porth Beach. It was only about four miles but my dodgy back did well and I got the bus back. The scenery here is awesome all rocks and caves and surf. I would love to test the surf but I don’t think my back would enjoy that!
Looks like absolute bliss (she says, looking out of the window in dull grey Oxfordshire!) Glad you enjoyed it.
